Description
Enthusiasm: A Kantian Critique of History
This book offers a radical rethinking of Immanuel Kant's philosophy, exploring the concept of "strong" enthusiasm as a form of political judgment. Lyotard examines how sudden and unscripted events can reshape the political landscape.
Lyotard's analysis draws on his earlier work with Wittgenstein's theory of language games, providing a new perspective on Kant's later writings on politics and history.
