Description
Jesus chooses to share with others the work of shepherding His people. He appoints undershepherds - elders - to carry out this vital role, and in Elders Reformed, Pastor Tim Bayly and Pastor Jürgen von Hagen provide guidance on what it means to shepherd the flock of God. With Scripture as their foundation, they address the challenges faced by church elders, including the dangers of sin within the church. They offer practical help and encouragement, drawing on hundreds of years of church history and their own experiences of ministering to people from diverse backgrounds. This book is a straightforward and honest exploration of the role of elders in the church, tackling difficult issues such as pride, greed, and abuse. It aims to convict and sober readers, while also providing practical advice and encouragement for those who faithfully carry out the work of the Chief Shepherd.
