El surco del tiempo

Emilio Lledó's exploration of the human experience is rooted in a profound meditation on the nature of writing and its impact on our understanding of ourselves. Drawing inspiration from Plato's Fedro, he delves into the role of memory in shaping our identity, the power of reading to configure our consciousness, and the freedom of expression.

Through this thought-provoking work, Lledó probes the intricate relationships between time, intimacy, happiness, friendship, and the written word. He invites us to consider the enduring voice of literature as a reflection of our shared humanity, and the ways in which our experiences are forever intertwined with those of others.

With characteristic nuance and insight, Lledó navigates the complexities of human existence, revealing the profound connections that exist between our inner lives and the world around us. This is a book that will resonate deeply with anyone who has ever sought to understand themselves and their place in the world.
