Description
Juan Rulfo's El llano en llamas is a collection of 17 short stories written by the author between 1945 and 1970. These tales were initially published in various magazines, including América and Pan, before being compiled into this single volume. The book includes eight stories that Rulfo wrote with the support of his first writing grant from the Centro Mexicano de Escritores, which he completed in 1953. Two additional stories, published in 1955, were later included in this collection. The stories were considered by Rulfo to be an exploration of a particular theme, and one of them, "Luvina", is particularly notable for its praise from critic Enrique Vila Matas. This edition brings together the complete works of Juan Rulfo's short fiction, offering readers a unique insight into the author's style and themes.
