Description
A documentary filmmaker's career is in free fall. Desperate for work, he accepts an unusual project: to make a film about a notorious cult that self-immolated in 1975. The group, known as the Temple of the Last Days, was shrouded in mystery and terrorized by allegations of ritual violence, perverse practices, and numerous prison sentences. As filming begins, strange occurrences start to plague the crew. The filmmaker receives unsettling nighttime visits and discovers eerie objects that seem to be warning him away. His interviewees begin to meet with a sudden and inexplicable demise. It soon becomes clear that the filmmaker has unwittingly become embroiled in the dark legacy of the cult. The truth behind the group's sinister activities is finally revealed, but it comes too late for some. The events of this book are a chilling reminder that some secrets are better left unspoken.
