Description

A young man from Asturias arrives in Havana's port on a morning in the early 1950s with nothing but his desire to live life to the fullest and no other ambition than to leave behind a small village still shrouded in the shadows of war. He soon finds himself in a city that shines like a beacon, where he makes friends and quickly secures work at El Encanto, the grand department store that is a symbol and source of pride for the city. As Patricio rises through the ranks, he gains new responsibilities that open doors to a world he never knew existed. However, these opportunities also attract envy from those around him. It is in this environment that he meets Gloria, one of the most beautiful women on the island, whose husband is a ruthless gangster who controls the Havana underworld. Patricio's encounter with Gloria sets off a chain of events that will change his life forever.
