Description

Eclipse by Alan Riddell is a groundbreaking collection of typographical poems that push the boundaries of language and form. First published in 1972, this volume was a pioneering work in the field of concrete poetry, a technique that weaves words and letters into shapes and patterns.

Now, nearly fifty years on, Eclipse remains a unique perspective on this innovative art form. The book's use of typography and layout adds an extra layer of meaning to the poems, sometimes heightening their message, while at other times undermining it entirely.

This collection is a fascinating insight into the early days of concrete poetry, and its influence can still be seen today in the world of poetry and design.
