Description
Dudley Through Time by Peter Glews explores the rich heritage of Dudley, a town at the heart of central England's Black Country region. With a history spanning over 1,000 years, Dudley has undergone significant changes, including its reorganisation in 1966 and 1974 to form the current Dudley Metropolitan Borough. This book provides a flavour of Dudley's past, focusing on the area covered by the former County Borough, which was an island of Worcestershire surrounded by Staffordshire. The volume offers a glimpse into the town's unique history, reflecting on the changes that have shaped its identity over time. With 96 pages of photographs and historical information, Dudley Through Time is a valuable resource for anyone interested in local history and the Black Country region.
