Description
Dreher Carvings: Gemstone Animals from Idar-Oberstein
Master craftsmen Gerd and Patrick Dreher are renowned for their exquisite animal figures, each meticulously cut from a single gemstone. Their work is a testament to the skill of traditional techniques, where every detail is carefully considered.
The result is a collection of unique engravings that showcase the artists' fascination with the properties of different gemstones. From the iridescent red-brown agate used for faces and palms, to the glossy deep black obsidian used for bodies, each piece is a masterpiece of craftsmanship.
