Description
Don Carlos príncipe de las Españas is a biography that challenges the conventional narrative surrounding this often-maligned figure. Through meticulous research and analysis of original documents, the authors shed new light on the life of Don Carlos, son of Felipe II. The traditional portrayal of Don Carlos as a troubled individual has been perpetuated by history, with some accounts portraying him as a madman or subject to a curse. However, this book presents a fresh perspective, one that seeks to understand Don Carlos beyond the myths and legends that have surrounded him for centuries. By examining the available documentation and comparing it to contemporary texts from the time of Felipe II's reign, the authors aim to provide a more nuanced understanding of Don Carlos' life and its significance in the context of 16th-century Spain.
