Description
Salvador Mallo, a veteran film director struggling with multiple ailments, finds himself unable to continue working. His reliance on medication and substances leads to a state of lethargy, transporting him back in time to an era he never experienced as a narrator: his childhood in the 1960s, when he emigrated with his parents to a village in Valencia in search of prosperity. This journey takes him back to his first adult love, which ended in heartbreak in 1980s Madrid. As Salvador seeks solace in writing, he rediscovers the early days of cinema, watching films projected onto a worn wall, outdoors, amidst the scents of pavement, jasmine, and summer breeze. Through this exercise, Salvador finds that film can once again be his salvation from pain, absence, and emptiness.
