Description
Dhaka: Memories or Lost by Kashef Chowdhury is a poignant photographic tribute to the city's six centuries of history. Against the backdrop of rapid urbanization, Chowdhury's lens captures the essence of Dhaka's cultural soul, revealing the stories and characters that are often lost in the shadows of modernity. Through his photographs, Chowdhury conveys the social and cultural flux of the city, from the daily lives of its people to the hidden corners of its historic buildings. This deeply personal work is a testament to the enduring spirit of Dhaka, where tradition and progress coexist in a fragile balance. Published in 2017, Dhaka: Memories or Lost offers a unique glimpse into the complexities of this vibrant city, one that is both familiar and yet constantly evolving.
