Description

Keith Haring's instantly recognizable paintings and images are some of the most iconic in art history. Emerging from New York's graffiti scene in the late '70s and 80s, Haring had a profound impact on popular culture. His work continues to resonate today, not just for its vibrant style, but also for its powerful message of diversity and inclusivity. This book offers a fresh look at Haring's life, revealing the person behind the iconography. It explores his childhood, his time in New York City, his art on the subway, and his struggles as an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and against HIV/AIDS prejudice. A moving and thought-provoking portrait of an artist who left a lasting legacy. Hardcover, 127 pages.
