Description
Decapitated Poetry by Kehua Chen is a groundbreaking collection of poems that boldly explores queer identity and erotic life. First published in 1995, this influential work remains a powerful statement about the importance of recognizing homosexuality as its own distinct category of being. Chen's poetry is marked by its uncompromising intelligence, wit, and transgressive energy, tackling topics such as forbidden love and the complexities of queer experience with unflinching honesty. Alongside its provocative erotic offerings, this volume also features remarkable sci-fi sequences that offer profound meditations on the boundaries of language and desire. A foundational work in Taiwanese poetry, Decapitated Poetry is a worthwhile read for anyone interested in exploring the innovative and daring voice of Kehua Chen.
