Description
De Profundis is James Jarvis' first new narrative in five years, marking a departure from his previous projects. In this highly anticipated graphic novel, Jarvis has constructed a purely personal narrative that showcases his unique artistic style.
The artwork combines Jarvis' interest in medieval woodcuts and Dutch De Stijl, creating a distinctive visual language that brings the story to life. A beaked artist travels through a wilderness to arrive at an abandoned city, where he encounters a mysterious, priestly being who commissions him to decorate a temple to nameless gods.
This thought-provoking graphic novel is a testament to Jarvis' skill and creativity as an illustrator and storyteller.
