Description

Darknet by Rose Lewenstein explores the world of data commodification and the uncharted deep web. In this thought-provoking drama, individuals navigate the consequences of sharing personal information online and the choices they make to protect their freedom. A teenager's quest to save her mother drives the story, while a visionary tech executive takes risks to achieve success. Meanwhile, a cybercriminal must decide between two forms of liberation. As the boundaries between privacy and convenience blur, Darknet shines a light on the complexities of our online lives. Commissioned by Potential Difference and premiered at Southwark Playhouse, London in 2016, this book offers a timely commentary on the world we live in today.
