Description
Cuba Hasta Siempre offers a unique perspective on Cuba through the lens of photographer Magdalena Solé. Her collection of over 150 full-color photographs reveals the subtle stirrings of transformation in this island nation, capturing everyday settings and people engaged in daily tasks. With minimal text accompanying her images, Solé's work constructs an atmosphere of timelessness, a photographic snapshot of Cuba past and present. The book features a foreword by Pico Iyer, adding depth to Solé's visual encounter with magical realism. The result is a soulful collection that lingers on the memorabilia of Cuba's revolutionary past while life continues. Solé's images are described as "lushly colorful," "formally striking," and "electrify[ing]" by critics, making this book a compelling choice for those seeking to explore Cuba beyond the tourist trade.
