Description
Guy Delisle's latest work takes him back to his Quebec native, revisiting the experiences that shaped his early life. Before becoming a renowned comic author, Delisle worked in a paper mill for three summers, an experience that informs this humorous and fresh portrayal of the world of work. The book is a tribute to the people he met during those summers, including his father, who also worked at the mill. Through his comics, Delisle brings these characters to life, alongside the factory itself, which takes centre stage in the story. With meticulous attention to detail, Delisle explores the inner workings of the machines and the repetitive tasks that defined the employees' daily lives. A fascinating glimpse into a bygone era, 'Crónicas de juventud' offers a unique perspective on the world of work and the relationships that shape our lives.
