Description

Creativity Will Save the World presents the most evocative sections of Nicholas Berdyaev's seminal work, The Meaning of the Creative Act. In this collection, Berdyaev explores the centrality of creativity to what it means to be human, arguing that "the importance and the interesting aspect in humans is connected with the opening up in them of the path towards the Infinite and the Eternal". Berdyaev's ideas on creativity are further elaborated through excerpts from his other writings, including articles and books. He posits that "God calls us to creative activity and to a creative answer to God's love", inviting readers to contemplate their own role as artists in the pursuit of a more humane spirituality and spiritual humanism. This book is dedicated to those who aspire to this role, and to all who seek to cultivate a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them.
