Description
Creativity: Where Poems Begin is a deeply personal exploration of how poetry emerged in the author's life. Mary Mackey reflects on the origins of creativity, tracing its development from a wordless reality to the world of language.
The process of becoming a poet is not easily described, as it begins in a realm where words and categories do not yet exist. Poetry arises from the depths of our experience, bubbling up until it reaches the part of our brains that transforms consciousness into words.
