Description

Corrección by Thomas Bernhard is widely regarded as the culmination of his work. Following the suicide of his friend Roithamer, an unnamed narrator arrives at the home of taxidermist Höller, where the deceased has remained in the attic for six years, meticulously planning and building a cone in the exact geometric center of the forest. This obsessive pursuit of perfection is reflected in the novel's exploration of contemporary human problems, including deshumanization, disconnection, and loneliness.
