Description

Context and Text: A Method for Liturgical Theology is a comprehensive exploration of liturgical theology from a liturgical-theological perspective. This revised edition builds upon the author's influential work, offering a nuanced investigation of the church's liturgical praxis in light of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy. The book examines new liturgical and ecclesial contexts, advances in method for liturgical studies, and cultural changes that impact the celebration of the liturgy. It also delves into the relationship between time, sacramentality, and the arts, providing a rich understanding of the ongoing "texts and contexts" of the liturgy. This edition is ideal for scholars, theologians, and those seeking to deepen their understanding of liturgical theology and its application in Christian worship.
