Description

Description

Contemporary Body Horror explores the intersection of horror and biopolitical discourse, examining how the human body is shaped by societal forces.

This book offers a sustained study of 21st-century body horror, focusing on its representational and ideological work. It argues that this subgenre has expanded its ethical horizons, embracing liberatory metamorphoses reminiscent of contemporary activist movements.

Through its analysis, Contemporary Body Horror sheds light on the power flows of modern life, revealing how interrelations between medical, legal, political, and educational spheres produce embodied identity.
