Description
Hélène is approaching forty years old. Born in a small town in eastern France, she has had a successful career and two daughters, living in an architect's house overlooking Nancy. Despite her achievements, she feels a sense of disappointment, as the years have passed and everything has not lived up to her expectations.
Her life is very different from that of Christophe, who has never left his hometown where he grew up with Hélène. He has led a simple life, prioritizing friendships and leisure over making long-term decisions. Today, he sells dog food, dreams of playing hockey like he did as a teenager, lives with his father and son.
Connemara is the story of settling old scores with the past and the sudden desire to start anew. It's also the tale of finding love beyond distance, in a country that sings Sardou songs and votes against itself.
