Description
First published in 1987, this influential title explores the emerging movement of Community Architecture, which gained momentum throughout Britain in the 1970s and 1980s. At its core lies the principle that those who live in an area should be actively engaged with its creation and daily administration.
The book's conceptual framework has had a lasting impact on policy makers and planning legislation, making it a key reference work for student architects and planners. This edition remains a valuable resource for anyone interested in understanding the importance of community involvement in shaping the built environment.
