Description
Bishop Anthony Poggo offers a thought-provoking commentary on the Book of Nehemiah, drawing striking parallels between the Jewish remnant in Jerusalem and South Sudan's own struggle to rebuild after decades of conflict. This book highlights the relevance of Nehemiah to contemporary issues such as climate change, planning, leadership, reconciliation, spiritual gifts, and community renewal. Poggo's work provides a unique perspective on the challenges facing South Sudan, drawing on his experience as a leader in his own nation. By exploring the Book of Nehemiah, he sheds light on the importance of healing physical and emotional scars, and finding ways to bring people together in the face of adversity. Through this commentary, Poggo aims to inspire new approaches to building a nation and promoting community renewal. This book is an important contribution to ongoing discussions about leadership, reconciliation, and spiritual growth in South Sudan and beyond.
