Description

Ted Hughes' Collected Poems for Children brings together a selection of poems written specifically for young readers throughout his life. The collection is arranged chronologically, starting with poems suitable for reading aloud to the very youngest, progressing through various volumes and ending with "Season Songs", which Hughes wrote 'within hearing' of children. The book features 200 original drawings by Raymond Briggs, which beautifully capture the wit, gentleness and humanity of these poems. These illustrations make this collection a treasure that readers - both children and adults - will return to again and again. With its unique blend of poetry and artwork, Ted Hughes' Collected Poems for Children is a book that will be cherished by families and individuals alike.
