Description
Twenty-five years after the publication of La Casa, which broke the silence over Spanish intelligence agents and their secret operations, author Fernando Rueda has conducted an extensive investigation into the current state of espionage in Spain.
This new book sheds light on the transformation of the Centro Nacional de Inteligencia (CNI) since its name change in 2002, revealing the lives, feelings, and operations of key agents, as well as those whose names are unknown but who risk their lives every day. A rigorous analysis that exposes previously unknown actions and denounces the unscrupulous behavior of some agents and directors.
The book also delves into the CNI's response to the fight against yihadist terrorism, its efforts to bring an end to ETA, and its secret relationships with the King, Government, politicians, Catalonia, the Police, and other countries. It also reveals how foreign powers, including the US, Russia, Morocco, and others, compromise Spain's security, and how modern technology is used to spy on individuals both at home and abroad.
