Description

Carl Orff's Carmina Burana is a masterpiece of modern classical music, based on a 13th-century collection of poems from the monastery of Benediktbeuren. In 1937, Orff selected and arranged these poems into a rich tapestry of sound, featuring solo singers, chorus, and orchestra. The work caused a sensation upon its premiere and continues to be performed and admired worldwide for its beauty and power. Written in robust and delicate musical colors, Carmina Burana is a testament to the enduring appeal of Orff's music. This edition features the original 1986 publication, with 178 pages of music and lyrics.
