Description
Carl Zeiss: A Biography 1816-1888 The ZEISS brand is synonymous with innovative technology that pushes the boundaries of what is possible. However, relatively little is known about its founder Carl Zeiss, who revolutionized optical device construction from his workshop in Jena. This biography delves into the life and work of a man who was both a husband and an entrepreneur. Through the eyes of historian Stephan Paetrow and ZEISS Archives Head Wolfgang Wimmer, we explore the story of Carl Zeiss. The authors also examine how the Zeiss legacy remains relevant today by speaking with family members, company representatives, and a renowned scientist from the modern era.
