Description
A group of young people involved in sex, drugs and petty crime meet big-time Mafiosi against the backdrop of semi-underworld Budapest today. None of the characters seems to know what he or she is doing, yet still they try to cheat one another and their own fate. This fast-paced play offers a quirky snapshot of the urban scene in Hungary today, with a dry and humorous tone that's both rude and entertaining. It was part of the National Theatre's Channels (Hungary) season of rehearsed readings in 2004. Translated from Hungarian by Katalin Trencsényi and David Evans, this version is now available as part of Oberon Modern Plays.
