Description

Captain Amazing is a poignant one-man show about a man struggling to balance his family responsibilities with his secret life as a superhero. Alistair McDowall's play explores how parents strive to be heroes in the eyes of their children.

The story follows the origins and family life of Britain's only part-time superhero, who is forced to keep his true identity hidden from the world. As he navigates his dual lives, he faces tragedy and must confront the reality of being a hero.

First performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013, Captain Amazing has been revived for a national tour. This heartwarming play offers a unique perspective on what it means to be a hero and the sacrifices that come with it.
