Description
California Suite: A Comedy in Two Acts by Neil Simon. This humorous play is divided into four parts, each featuring a different set of characters. In one part, a magazine writer struggles to decide who her daughter should spend the next six months with - her ex-husband or him again. As the banter flies back and forth, the writer's carefully constructed facade begins to crumble under pressure. In another part, a wife arrives at a hotel suite to find her husband in a compromising position with a woman he met on holiday. Meanwhile, an Academy Award nominee returns from a ceremony empty-handed, only to face disappointment at home. A disastrous vacation comes to an end for two couples who should not have shared it. With its witty dialogue and comedic situations, California Suite is a lighthearted exploration of relationships and the complexities of human connection.
