Description
Old buses have led many different lives after their working days are over. Some are scrapped for parts, while others find new roles with other bus companies. A small number are preserved and put on display, but the majority are repurposed to serve various needs. Some old buses continue to carry passengers, albeit in a limited capacity, such as for community groups or works transport. Others are converted into unique vehicles, like catering or hospitality units, advertising promotional vehicles, ambulances, mobile homes, playbuses, or even horseboxes. This book explores the diverse lives of old buses and coaches over the past fifty years. Through its stories, Buses: Another Life sheds light on the varied roles these vehicles have played in our society.
