Blank Forms presents its sixth anthology, Organic Music Societies, a special issue released in conjunction with an exhibition celebrating the multimedia collaborations of Don Cherry and Moki Cherry. This first English-language publication on either figure highlights models for collectivism and pedagogy deployed in their work through archival documents and newly translated writings.

The book features contributions from musicians, scholars, and artists, including an overview by Blank Forms Artistic Director Lawrence Kumpf and Don Cherry biographer Magnus Nygren. It also includes a selection of Moki's unpublished writings, framed by tributes from her daughter Neneh Cherry and granddaughter Naima Karlsson.

Organic Music Societies showcases the domestic element of Moki's practice through full-color reproductions of her tapestries, paintings, and sculptures, which were used as performance environments by Don's ensembles during the Sweden years and beyond. A piece on Don's Relativity Suite by Ben Young adds further insight into his work of the period.
