Description
A baby squirrel falls from its nest and into the saddlebag of a 13-year-old boy in 1214. Despite being blind, deaf, hairless, and unable to eat solid food, the squirrel's survival is uncertain. A group of five squirrels sets out to find the lost creature on the Way of St. James in Spain. The journey is fraught with failure for Billowtail and its companions, Tippy, Nip, Sugarcoat, and Sir Sniff. However, as they navigate the challenges of their perilous quest, they learn valuable lessons about community and self-sacrifice. This heartwarming tale follows the transformation of these well-meaning but solitary squirrels. Through their journey, Billowtail and its friends discover new strengths and a deeper understanding of one another. Their story is a poignant exploration of the power of friendship and perseverance in the face of adversity.
