Description

Jock Wallace was a larger-than-life figure in Scottish football. His extraordinary life story is one of triumph and tragedy, marked by his remarkable achievements as a manager and his struggles with illness. Despite never making it as a professional player himself, Wallace went on to manage Rangers twice, winning numerous trophies, including two Trebles in three seasons in the mid-seventies. However, his journey to the top was not without its challenges, including a spell as a soldier in war-torn Malaya. In later life, he faced a new and devastating struggle with Parkinson's disease. This biography, written by journalist David Leggat, who knew Wallace personally, offers a fascinating insight into the life of this remarkable man.
