Description
Beyond the Difference celebrates the work of M. Wynn Thomas, Wales's leading literary critic, with contributions from internationally acclaimed writers and poets, as well as significant critics in the field.
The volume explores relationships between English and Welsh language literatures, interactions of nationhood and gender from the late nineteenth century to the present day, and the politics of translation in Wales compared to Ireland and America. It also examines intriguing connections between Welsh literature and American, African American, Irish and Jewish literary traditions.
