Description
Berlin in the 2010s has long been seen as a city of dreams, but for Ashkan Sahihi, it was also a place of rediscovery. In his latest series, 'Beautiful Berlin Boys', he finds himself drawn to young, gay men who remind him of his friends from New York in the 1980s.
Sahihi's photographs are not just portraits, but also a tribute to those who have been lost to HIV/AIDS and a celebration of life in all its forms. Through his lens, he captures the beauty and vulnerability of his subjects, inviting us to reflect on what it means to be alive and free.
