Description

Ayn Rand: The Russian Radical by Chris Matthew Sciabarra provides a comprehensive analysis of the intellectual roots and philosophy of Ayn Rand. Despite her influential works, such as The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, there have been few serious scholarly examinations of her thought. This new edition adds two chapters that present in-depth analysis of Rand's education at Petrograd State University, shedding new light on her early life and intellectual development. Chris Sciabarra also addresses recent criticisms of his historical work on Rand, providing a more nuanced understanding of her philosophy and its context. With this updated edition, readers can gain a deeper insight into the life and ideas of Ayn Rand, one of the most widely read philosophers of the twentieth century.
