Description
Asterix and the Chieftain's Shield is a humorous comic strip adventure about a legendary shield that has gone missing. Julius Caesar plans to use it in his triumph, but the Gauls are determined to stop him. The story begins with Vercingetorix throwing away his arms after being defeated by Caesar, but years later, the shield has vanished. The Romans and Gauls search for it, while Chief Vitalstatistix is trying to lose weight on a health farm. As the search continues, Asterix finds himself in the middle of the action. The outcome of the search is far from certain, as the Gauls and Romans engage in their usual antics. Will Caesar succeed in his plans, or will the shield be found by the Gauls?
