Description
This hands-on guide helps you design, build, and operate an API Marketplace to securely expose internal services and customer data for use by external developers. By doing so, your organization can benefit from revenue and the reach of a new digital channel, while third-party developers can leverage APIs to build unique applications.
Building an API Marketplace presents a unique challenge, as organizations must share internal capability and customer data with external developers. This book provides practical approaches to manage sandbox environments, monetize APIs, and establish foundational elements at design time. It also discusses security practices and industry standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
The goal of this book is to provide engineering teams with a view of the operational requirements for an API Marketplace, enabling them to meet and exceed these by establishing a solid foundation from the outset.
