Description
Antony Gormley SUBJECT explores the relationship between sculpture and space. The exhibition at Kettle's Yard in 2018 featured installation shots, drawings, and texts by Caroline Collier and Jennifer Powell, alongside Antony Gormley in conversation with architect Jamie Fobert. The show highlighted many of Gormley's interests, including how sculpture can activate both the space it occupies and the body of the viewer. It offered a series of physical and metaphysical encounters, exploring our relationship to space and our sense of self. The exhibition included several new works, such as Subject (2018) and Infinite Cube II (2018), which were on display for the first time in the UK. This book brings together these elements, providing a unique insight into Gormley's artistic vision and practice.
