Description

Anthropology by Lauren Gunderson explores the intersection of family, technology, and legacy. When Merril's younger sister Angie vanishes, she builds a digital simulation of her sister to cope with her loss. However, as the 'virtual Angie' reveals new details about the real Angie's disappearance, Merril is forced to confront the complexities of her own grief. This timely play is a moving exploration of the human experience in the age of technology. With its thought-provoking themes and emotional depth, anthropology is a powerful work that will resonate with audiences. Published to coincide with the world premiere at London's Hampstead Theatre in September 2023, this edition brings Gunderson's award-winning play to readers everywhere.
