Description

Ian Seed's Anonymous Intruder presents a nuanced exploration of human connection and disconnection. Through fragmented narratives and concise language, the poems navigate the search for new truths and encounters, while confronting the fragility of relationships. The seeking 'self' is in a state of exile, seeking to be shattered and reconstructed. The poems consider the possibility and impossibility of returning home, and must first find a way to recognise the stranger approaching from a distance. Despite their elliptical nature, these narratives are marked by stark and clear imagery, engaging rhythms and patterns. This collection offers a thought-provoking examination of the human experience, one that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.
