Description

Annie Morris: When a Happy Thing Falls A solo museum exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park marks the first UK showing of British artist Annie Morris's vibrant sculptures and tapestry. The immersive installation reflects her studio, where drawn and stitched work is in conversation with sculptures in various stages of creation. The exhibition features a dense selection of Morris's pigmented sculptures alongside one of her "thread paintings", creating an effect that showcases a family of works in evolution. Each piece shares features but remains unique, much like the works on long-term display at YSP. On show from September 2021 to February 2022, this exhibition offers a glimpse into Annie Morris's creative process and artistic vision.
