Description
John Horwood's life was cut short in 1821 when he was convicted of manslaughter after throwing a stone at his girlfriend, Eliza. This tragic event led to both their deaths and has become a notorious case in British history.
The story of John Horwood is one of folly, ignorance, and the cruel treatment of those deemed unfit for life. A doctor's selfish actions played a significant role in the young man's downfall, highlighting the harsh realities of justice during that era.
This book tells the true story of John Horwood, a case that continues to raise questions about the fairness of the justice system and the devastating consequences of thoughtless acts.
