Amor divino

Ángela Segovia explores the realm of sentimental language, posing a question: how can we express romance outside commercial dictates without losing its essence? In "Amor divino", a poem divided into three movements that blur the lines between chapters in a novel, three friends - Lonesom, the Forastero, and Elle - engage in a conversation about love, exploring diverse genres such as westerns, chivalric romances, and science fiction. This book offers a new perspective on lyrical and sentimental language, moving beyond current trends that have dominated certain types of fiction. Segovia believes literature has a political function: to remind us that language is our own and that literature is the space where we can push the boundaries of expression. "Amor divino" introduces life into the realm of the lyric, injecting it with energy. Through its winding paths and unexpected detours, this poem invites readers to engage in a game of echoes and clues left behind by the narrative. With its rapid currents and meandering routes, it offers multiple destinations, some of which may not lead to a familiar shore.
