Description
A surreal debut novel set in a world shaped by language, Amatka is a thought-provoking exploration of freedom and artistic creation. In this austere, wintry colony, people are monitored for signs of subversion, and citizens live under the watchful eye of their administration. Vanja, an information assistant, finds herself entangled in a web of intrigue when she falls in love with her housemate Nina and stumbles upon evidence of a growing threat to the colony. As she delves deeper into the mystery, Vanja must navigate a world where nothing - not even language or reality itself - can be taken for granted. With its unique blend of science fiction and literary elements, Amatka is a beguiling and original novel that raises important questions about the nature of freedom and creativity.
