Description

Ali Banisadr's 2021 show in Florence was a celebration of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death. The artist's powerful brushwork and strong colors reveal complex emotions, memories, and imagination beneath the surface of his personal reality.

The exhibition featured site-specific paintings, titled "Beautiful Lies", which were commissioned by the venues hosting the show. Written by Sergio Risaliti, director of the Museo Novecento in Florence, the text provides insight into Banisadr's artistic vision and the themes explored in his work.
